whatsnewta full playthrough · Python 3.15

Eighteen puzzles, six sigils, eleven secrets, and one release.

whatsnewt is Barry Warsaw's text adventure through what's new in Python 3.15. Every puzzle is graded by running your answer on a real 3.15 interpreter, and the grader also reads how you wrote it. This page replays one complete run, mistakes included, with the player's thinking at each step. Every line of game output and every verdict on this page was captured from the actual game engine (whatsnewt 3.15.3 on CPython 3.15.0), not retyped.
